Jack McCumber is a commercial real estate appraiser in Washington State. He has experience appraising a wide variety of complex property types, including multifamily, affordable housing, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, medical, agricultural, mini-storage, entitled development sites, marinas, special purpose and religious facilities, subdivisions, cannabis oriented properties (I-502), as well as going-concern and partial interest components. He also has experience reviewing appraisals used in support of conservation easements with the Internal Revenue Service.
Intended uses of his work includes litigation/arbitration, complex tax filings and appeal, corporate acquisition, lending and financing, estate transfer, Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) annual filings, market studies, and assessing tax implications of charitable gifts.
Outside of his private practice, Jack is also a senior appraiser in the Large Business and International (LB&I) division at the Internal Revenue Service. He previously worked as a senior appraiser at Kidder Mathews. Prior to that, Jack was an artificial intelligence intern at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. He enjoys surfing, running, and traveling with his wife.
